825 (ex --) ARSIA TRAIL

The 15 km long trail runs from the youngest town in Istria, Raša, located in a narrow valley only 2 km away from the sea. It is intended for a half-day walk with beautiful views of Raša, its valley and the town of Labin

It starts at the central square next to the church of St. Barbara, the patroness of miners, whose belfry hosts a museum dedicated to its inhabitants. The trail continues on macadam road, a former mining railway and rises towards the village of Breg, and as it rises more and more so the view of the valley is even more beautiful. It arrives to the village of Kapelica and continues towards Presika, which leads to Labin, a medieval town located on a hill above Rabac. Its small streets charmingly combine the rich architecture and the cultural and historical monuments with numerous art galleries. It is recommended to go to the old town of Labin and explore its rich history, or make a shorter break in the central square that pulsates with the rhythm of this small town. After returning on the trail that is circularly returning to the village of Kapelica, it follows a steep downhill towards Raša passing by the quarries and the mine to the central square where it ends.
